Ireland education advice

Hi, we are moving to Ireland in September and I needed to find a school for my 13 yr old daughter. I was hoping for a small, nurturing girls independent school but open to whatever is the best school. We are flexible on location but she wants to be a day student. My daughter loves sport and showjumping so a sporty school would be a bonus. She is also dyslexic so a school that would support that too. Any advice on schools or areas would be amazing! I know it is a lot to ask but any advice would be appreciated thank you

What area of Ireland are you moving too?

Anoisagusaris · 16/04/2020 00:11

That should be ‘to’ obviously, not ‘too’!

You say you are flexible but does that mean literally anywhere in the country?

Ideally we would like to be within a couple of hours from cork but yes anywhere in the country but close to an airport (1.5hr away max)

www.bandongrammar.ie/

A friend's child goes here and they are very happy with it. Previously were at a very large community college and much happier at Bandon. You can be a day pupil or board.

+1 to Bandon Grammar. Graham Norton’s alma mater

A few of my neighbours went to Villiers and were very happy. One actually works in the equestrian field now. My disclaimer is they are now about 30 years old so I don't know anyone that has been in recent times but the boys loved it.
