Hi my year 12 dc is trying to study RS and is struggling. He's finding the concepts hard to grasp and his RS teacher is gone on early May leave so there's no one yet for him to ask.

As the a levels seem to have ended early this year I was wondering if anyone has books that they want to get rid of? He is feeling really down about potentially not being in school until Sept and I can't think of any other way to help him.

Hi, I'm in the Y13 cohort that has had the exams cancelled this year. I taught myself the syllabus and have the textbooks (Bowie and Ahluwalia) and the corresponding revision guide. As I own them outright I can sell them to you once we know what is happening with our making and I've submitted everything. The revision guide especially puts the concepts into simple, manageable chunks. I also recommend him reading the actual works of the major philosophers (Kant, Fletcher, Mill, Augustine, Hume and Plato are all relatively accessible. Also, feel free to send me a message and maybe I can help him with some of the more difficult content.

Hi tapaway thank you for the reply. I really hope you get some clear clarity on marking and you can proceed with your future plans.

Do you know who wrote the revision guides? Was it Ahluwalia? If so I'll try and source ds the guide. Any other tips you can think of? Fingers crossed everything works out for you. My ds is hoping to study theology at uni, but he's not 100% sure.

Yes, it was Ahluwalia. Unfortunately there aren't too many floating about as not many people do this syllabus. Good luck to your son.
