I'm not sure Autumn is around during the day, so starting a new thread to maintain our lifeline Smile

Oh, really well done @Sully113. Nothing for us yet, I guess we are further down the list...this wait is killing me!

ColaPip · 03/03/2020 17:12

Great news @Sully113! Hope you get some good news soon @abc79 - keeping my fingers crossed for you.

BlitheSpirit · 03/03/2020 17:48

That's a hard choice. If LMS is close to where you live, I'd be tempted by that. A friend's daughters went there and they have both done really well, one going on to Oxford. They actually chose it even though they don't live so close. No axe to grind here as we are not WL for WHS. What did you decide in the end re FHSS?

BlitheSpirit · 03/03/2020 17:53

Message of just now for @ColaPip

Autumnnightsaredrawingin · 03/03/2020 18:13

@Sully113 huge congratulations! See you in September! Smile

@abc79 hang in there! I know of 3 girls declining their PHS place today/yesterday so I am sure it must be moving your way soon! Everything crossed.

Sully113 · 03/03/2020 18:29

Thank you all. @abc79 crossing everything for you!

abc79 · 03/03/2020 18:32

Thank you @ColaPip and @Autumnnightsaredrawingin, I am so grateful for your support and virtual hand holding! Really testing me this wait...I really hope things will carry on moving for the next couple of days...I was checking last years thread and things kept on moving for a few days more...

abc79 · 03/03/2020 18:33

And thank you @Sully113! X

Bagpipes1234 · 03/03/2020 22:05

@Autumnnightsaredrawingin what have you decided? Good luck!

Bagpipes1234 · 03/03/2020 22:07

Sorry, I see you have already confirmed. Great decision! How about @givemesomewineplease ? Good luck!

givemesomewineplease · 03/03/2020 22:39

Things got a little complicated by an offer from Spgs. I'm keen but dh is totally, unflinchingly against, so no choice but to turn it down. Pretty gutted as think it could be amazing for dd but decision is made. Looks like it's G&L for dd!

Frostyskies1223 · 03/03/2020 23:05

Congrats @givemesomewineplease , your dd is a very bright person to get such a wonderful set of offers, both state and private.
It's been a joy to follow your journey and I'm sure she will thrive at G&L and enjoy being at a local school.

Once it's over it's difficult to explain to friends who live in other parts of the UK or have just applied to a local school re what a roller coaster the SW London 11plus journey is, it take over months of your family life with each stage bringing different "challenges"!

PhilippaFawcett · 04/03/2020 06:26

@givemesomewineplease congratulations on getting to a decision! Maybe see you at G&L in September

mummyme2016 · 04/03/2020 07:08

Many congratulations @givemesomewineplease !

Good Luck !

ColaPip · 04/03/2020 08:05

@givemesomewineplease - well done on making a very tough decision! Hopefully you can now relax and reflect on how wonderfully your DD has done.

@Frostyskies1223 - I couldn't agree more re friends and family. My parents think I'm totally nuts and just said "oh we knew she'd get offers, don't know why you were so worried". Err, helpful thanks!

@BlitheSpirit - I've just seen your message, thank you! We turned down FHSS on Monday, ultimately WHS ticked more boxes and felt more "right" for DD.

Still mulling over LMS V WHS, but 99% sure we'll stick with WHS.

Is anyone still deciding? If so, best of luck!

tiggermummy70 · 04/03/2020 08:56

congrats to everyone who has made their decisions.

Is anyone still waiting? or deciding?

Sorry I have lost track.

mummyme2016 · 04/03/2020 09:33

I am still mulling over Tiffins vs LEH ! Have received great advice from forum members. Thanks a lot for that!

Just need to assess what would work best for DD and family.

DD loves LEH but is mature enough to understand that it is a huge commitment.

abc79 · 04/03/2020 09:38

Congrats @givemesomewineplease, that is brilliant news! And well done @ColaPip, you are almost there! We are still on WL purgatory so a bit longer to wait for us...just trying to understand what deadlines are still to come? Consortium is today at 12pm, when is WHS and LEH...just trying to forecast knock on effects on WLs for schools. Thank you!

PhilippaFawcett · 04/03/2020 09:45

@abc79 the LEH deadline was yesterday

ColaPip · 04/03/2020 09:45

@mummyme2016 - that is certainly a tricky one. I don't really know either school, so can't add anything helpful. Good luck deciding!

@abc79 - WHS deadline was midday Tuesday. Not sure about LEH. Remind me which schools you're waiting for?

OP posts:
mummyme2016 · 04/03/2020 09:58

LEH was yesterday 12pm

mummyme2016 · 04/03/2020 09:59

Sorry just seen PhillipaFawcett has already mentioned that above

abc79 · 04/03/2020 10:01

Thank you, we are waiting for PHS and FHS SS and hoping that there will be a bit more movement still this week...

ColaPip · 04/03/2020 10:09

@abc79 - keeping my fingers crossed for you!
