Anyone live near central London at St Helen’s?

I’m just trying to find out logistics of DD getting to St Helen’s, Northwood, and reliability of metropolitan line etc.

I would ask the school about where their current pupils live. FWIW the Met isn't the most reliable tube line and not all Met trains stop at Northwood. Can't imagine there are many girls living in central London going out to Northwood every day, there are so many similar schools closer to town.

Not a reliable line, although the school is about 5mins walk from northwood station. When you say Centeal London, what station would she be going into,

We live further down the Met Line and my kids catch it to school in Moor Park every day. Bar a few peak hour trains, nearly all Amersham and Watford trains stop at Northwood. There are occasionally delays but can’t say it’s ever meant them getting to school late.

@JMG1234 It's fine until they suspend the Met line from Harrow or Wembley Park to Aldgate as happened only a few days ago and seems to happen several times a year! I've used that line on and off my whole life, OP, it's not the nightmare it was in the 80s thank god but still wouldn't want to be completely reliant on it.

Thanks for your comments all. Would be getting on jubilee line and swapping after 2 stops onto met line at Finchley are. I was a bit concerned about reliability..... @zinnia, I would love to know the similar schools closer centrally, I haven’t found them! Not in terms of space, trees and grass. And fresh air!
