It’s going to be a loooooong 6 months otherwise.😩

Ds v anxious. Screwed up his revision and ended up covering very little, had a meltdown midweek. Supposed to get 8s/9s but got a range from 3 to 7.

We could both do with some positivity.😬

It sounds like a crap school to me, frankly. They should be supporting him, not kicking him when he’s down.

I know we were disappointed re the maths dep. Just composing another email requesting some proper bloody support( just a plan) as regards filling the gaps and revision over the holidays. We haven’t got much time before they break up.In my teaching experience and from friends in the secondary sector that isn’t an unreasonable request and frankly I do think they’re lucky we’re so proactive in trying to help him.I’m starting to think they’re just not used to supporting struggling kids.Confused

Past papers are definitely the way to go! My eldest got her mocks up by several grades at A level by doing old papers over and over again!! There's only so many questions they can ask!

I think past papers are the way to go but it's difficult when for many subjects there is only a few available under the new grading system. Once you've covered the available papers and maybe a specimen paper there are no others to work with.

Maybe this will be just the thing your DS needed. It is the whole point of mocks.
