Does anyone know anything about this school? I am thinking of sending my daughter there for A levels, but have heard mixed reviews and would appreciate any insights.

My eldest Dds friend didn't like it and got transferred to RAS after 4 months. She found it quite an unfriendly atmostsphere and didn't make friends .Have a look at ras it does better than prior and my eldest loved it.

I would recommend Prior Park. We found it to be excellent.

Hi
I am aware it's an old post but I am considering putting my son in Bath Academy for A Levels resit. Can you tell me if the teachers are any good ? Thanks!

Hi, I wrote the original post. My daughter went to Bath Academy in the end and did very well. She got 3 A so I was very happy with the teaching. My friend sent her son for some tutoring after getting a disappointing A level result. He went on to get an A. The small groups in classes (max 3 in my daughter's case, means obviously they do as well as they possibly could).

Just realised that it didn't type the grades right. It should say A stars! Not just As :-)

Thanks for the reply! My son got BCC in bio, chem,French (was predicted AAA) so would like to resit the 3 exams in a year. How are the teachers? I am asking as it seems to be a small school and I am guessing it should be difficult to hire full time teachers for all subjects. Are they using supply staff?
I hesitated with Rochdale independent College, have you heard of this one? Thanks for the help!

The teachers were very good. They even got my daughter her own teacher for English when she had a problem with the one they had. I was gobsmacked. The guy they found for her (1:1) was amazing!

That's amazing thank you? When did she finish her A Levels? Have you heard of Rochdale independent College? I am hesitating between the two? Thanks!

I haven't heard of Rochdale I'm afraid. She left there in summer of 2022. I guess the downside would be that socially it's pretty limited, but that's obvious because it's so small. They are also very wedded to their regime of testing on a weekly basis which I think is meant to increase young people's confidence in timed situations. My daughter wriggled out of some of those, but that is probably because she was doing well academically.

Thank you! I meant Rochester not Rochdale☺️. I am pleased your daughter did well. RIC is located in Kent and is definitely bigger. Really don't know what to do!!
