Girls sixth forms SW London

My daughter will start Y10 next year. We live on the Isle of Wight but previously Wimbledon. She is keen to go to an all girls sixth form in SW London. Her interests are science and art - she will most likely concentrate on the latter for a career. She is at an independent mixed school now and is predicted to do 7s and 8s in most subjects at GCSE. As the school she goes to will influence where we will live I’m keen to start looking now. I’m hoping to move to Fulham where I have a property and have been looking at Lady Margarets, Putney High and Wimbledon High as they seem to have good reps and are commutable. Most info I get online does not focus on sixth form so any advice or alternate ideas appreciated. We are not C of E - would that rule Lady Margaret out? We have an address within 100m.

Thanks but I just googled it it’s co-ed and we’re looking for an all girls school. Also she’ll have to get to and from school herself.

I don't think you would need to be C of E for Lady Margaret Sixth Form.

Just for information the Surbiton High website has details of the entry requirements in the FAQ sixth form pages.
I would add that not many dd in a mixed independent school in SW London would move to a single sex girls 6th form of a school that starts at Reception age. In these girls schools some have been at school together since they were 5 years old and although friendship groups constantly change they don't always have time for "new girls".
Many dd tend to go to boys schools that take dd for 6th form like Reeds or Kings Wimbledon or 6th form colleges. I would take your dd to plenty of open days so she has time to judge her peers as well as the quality of the teaching etc.

Lady Margaret care about grades not religion for 6th form

Would Francis Holland be worth a look?

Queens Gate in South Ken has a strong art department.

Thanks for the suggestion it seems worth considering.

She is pretty sure she wants an all girl school - she finds boys generally disruptive and annoying. She is not a team player works better on her own. My other children (boys) have gone to Reeds, Charterhouse and Shrewsbury House. I also know girls that have joined boys schools at sixth form and that is definitely not going to work in this case!
I take your point about joining a community where they may have been together since age 5 but sixth form seems to be a major change with many leaving and many joining; is run separately from the rest of school and therefore I’m not so worried about it - granted being new is always an adjustment.

Seconding Francis Holland, Sloane Square.
It is excellent and the head is an astounding woman.
Very strong on science and the arts.
