NHEHS v Surbiton High

I am having problems choosing between these two for my DD. Have visited both and liked them. Am I right that NHEH is more academic or are they on the same level? What about pastoral care? Can someone who knows one or both of them offer some advice?

There is a thread called Notting Hill v Kingston and also a recent Surbiton High thread that I have posted on. I can only comment on SHS and will say again it's big - expected to be 7 classes for this Sept, busy but caring. The classes are organised by postcode. Dd travel by school bus, train and tfl bus. The sports ground is at HW and netball and hockey clubs are after school, the dd get taken back to school or the train station by 6.30. Rowing is really popular and the boat house is in Teddington - you are expected to collect from there in the week and drop / collect on Saturdays if your dd takes up rowing. It's a sporty school but also drama and music. There is no swimming.

Academically bear in mind the current GCSE results include dd who have come up from the Junior school that use to be less selective than it is now. The Sixth form is selective.

Thank you bery much Poppyred25. I will look at the other posts. Have heard very positive comments so far re SH from neighbours too. Cons for us are - a bit of a long journey by school coach, long drive to collect from after school clubs if required and lack of school lunches from Year 10 onwards but we are still seriously considering it. We only have 1 week left to make a decision.
I would live to hear from parents with DD at NHEHS please as I cannot find many posts about it?
