Revision

My daughter is in year 10 and has just had parents evening. She wants to start revising as early as possible. I've ordered her a couple of revision guides but wondered if their are any revision podcasts/Apps/planner timetables anyone recommends.
Thank you Grin

My best advice at this very early stage would be to make sure your DD writes up really good notes on all her lessons. These can then form the basis of her revision when she needs to start. No harm in reading through revision guides now, particularly for sciences, although she won't have covered all of it yet. I wouldn't invest in any apps or planners yet, not until Yr11.

Flash cards is the other thing she can start doing. Noting down standard equations for sciences for example and having them there going forward is always time well spent.

Agree, notes and flashcards to be used in the future.

Learn any poems for English Lit off by heart then quoting them is easy.

See any play version of the books, YouTube is good but be aware they are never completely true to the book and should not be relied on.

Read/study around the subject to expand her understanding of historical context especially for English Lit to understand the author's purpose (what message are they trying to convey) History to get a better and wider knowledge.

Look at past paper mark schemes and the examiner's report.
