Today at school my Daughter got given behaviour points I am annoyed at her but the reason it's for I found ridiculous . A Teacher we will call miss A asked her my DD a Question She Said what miss Teacher said something else my DD wasn't sure or couldn't here her said what the teacher she was like it's pardon not what your being rude and at the end of the class gave her 2 behaviour points in her Diary . I told my DD maybe she should have said sorry I can't here you but to get Behaviour points I think could be a bit to much correct her which I would at home but to think this is potentially towards a detention seems harsh ??

But presumably from the teacher's perspective it could have come across as your DD was being obdurate or snarky? (who knows the tone - we weren't there). Did your DD apologise to the teacher when she was given the behaviour points?

What is her relationship like with the teacher usually?

Your post is nearly impossible to understand.

Unfair; I believe ‘what?’ is what the upper classes say, rather than ‘pardon?’ I suppose context is all though.

So a teacher, who ordinarily manages to make themselves heard by an entire class, spoke so softly that your child failed to hear them twice?
Or said child playing the fool and pretending not to hear?
Or trying to avoid answering the question?
Or trying to avoid showing they didn’t know the answer?
I don’t know which is correct but I would bet my last dollar that it isn’t scenario one.
