Considering it for dd. Have visited a couple of times. Clearly it’s impressive but I wonder if it would suit a more sensitive child. Dd very sociable and outgoing, with a level of what I would broadly call emotional intelligence well beyond her years, but shy until she warms up and quite easily bruised, emotionally speaking.
That said, the girls I know there who have thrived are not pushy alpha females either. I’m a bit flummoxed as to what to make of it really. Academics speak for themselves And dd needs inspiring teaching but will crumble if pushed too hard.

@carcandrea

I know it has been a while since you posted on the topic of CLC (this thread) but I wondered how things went for you with DD in the end? From your message at the time, we are in exactly the same situation as you though looking at 13+.

We are in a similar situation now to you carcandrea. I wondered if your DD got in and were happy with the tutor service you used? We are overseas.

Hi, could you or someone please let us know about the entrance exam to CLC (we are not from the UK, but my DD reads British Curriculum, at her school). We wanted to know the acceptance rate, and how difficult the exam is for 11+ entrance. Many thanks!

My sister was a teacher there in the noughties and generally was very positive about CLC. Her only comment was about 'competitive anorexia'. I dont know whether this is still an issue but I suspect this kind of thing will also be valid for the high achieving London girls schools?
