Would very much appreciate it?

Also how do I convince school to sign up as I dont see on site how patents can sign up?

Many thanks

BBC Bitesize is good and she could try Hegarty Maths. Give up using Mymaths.

ROZ12 · 04/06/2017 01:24

Thank u but isn't hegerty another one that school has to sign up to?

Have you tried getting past papers grouped by subject from here

Read the Sunday Times this week - someone arguing very cogently against the exam format, because it quashes independent thinking and imagination, which are the skills that are really needed in our increasingly service-led economy. The skills that a robot cannot do are the ones that are sidelined - makes no sense.

So don't over fret - she will be as she is and does not need this hot-housing. One of my DDs got an E in maths 3 times - eventually I told the college to back off - they had a policy of making students take it till they got through. There was no way she was ever going to pass.

She has an MA; is a millionaire; is a wonderful mother; runs a business; and is hugely appreciated in her local community for all that she shares of her creative skills. Who needs maths GCSE?

Dd uses Hegarty Maths and Active Learn for Maths revision. She is also year nine.

Hi

Thank u. Regarding hegarty maths I can't seem to sign up unless school has? Is there a way for parents?

Thanks

Roz

We just search for Hegarty Maths on YouTube occasionally and haven't signed up.

user789653241 · 04/06/2017 19:53

We don't used Hegarty Maths, but I have registered to it long time ago. I just logged in to it, and don't have any problem logging in as parent and watch videos etc.
Have seen a comment it's not free anymore somewhere, but since we don't use it, haven't got clue about restriction to paid/free subscribers.

sorry for typos.

noblegiraffe · 04/06/2017 20:19

Hegartymaths is now a much bigger paid-for service for schools. The old Hegartymaths videos are still available at mathswebsite.com

You need to sign up for an account but it's free, and students can do it themselves.

May have to stick to you tube videos as on the website although it says register for free it's not allowing me keeps saying use numbers and dashes in first name field??!!

Thanks

That's weird...
I don't think I had any problem registering.

If you want to watch explanation on video and do some practice questions, khan academy is great, and it's totally free. Covers wide range of maths.

Maths watch is good, it can be a bit slow but it explains things well.

I got the cd from my dcs school but that was under the old system, I don't know if there's a new syllabus version

Noodledoodledoo · 06/06/2017 22:52

Look at Corbettmaths as well - lots of videos explaining loads of topics
