Hello I'm moving to the Wiltshire area and I'm lost on choice , The more expensive area and pretty Area of Salisbury or renting a bigger house on the edge of Trowbridge. I have three kids and a 17 year old that's used to being able to pop on a bus to get to the shops of school. But we are looking to foster and more rooms and a bigger house is a must but Salisbury as i Have mentioned is more expensive but also still well connected To London. Then there are schools I don't really know about catchment area in Trowbridge and how kids get to school if you live a bit more out in the sticks. I have one child going to primary school and one starting year 6 and another that wants to go to Wiltshire college.......... IM STUCK!!! Help. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Depends how flexible your budget is, but this is a beautiful village. 2 miles outside Trowbridge. Free bus to local village primary, (keevil) and free school buses to the secondary schools in Trowbridge. Also a bus to Lavington school. (Might be free I'm not sure)

Yep, quiet residential area, but check location carefully. There's s new road recently built that comes out there, so traffic quite bad depending on area. Where about exactly? There's an industrial estate nearby too so need to look at how you get into town from there.

Just off the b3105

The borough I live in London is a maximum of 20 mph. Nothing could possibly compare to the traffic I deal with every day. I can deal with rush hour traffic it's when it's all the time. That's when I lose the plot.

Staverton marina built a few years ago. Lots of families, I know a few people there, they are very happy. It's quite built up, but depends what you're used to,
Marina = water, though it's canals rather than the river. I think the most direct route to town is either to walk/cycle the canal tow path or walk/drive along Canal Road. That's the industrial bit.

Sorry, getting very confusing, B3105 well away from the relief road and the industrial estate. Good choice!

Thanks. It's all a process of elimination.
