For those who remember ds story:
•started academy in yr 7 who withdrew nearly all his 15.5 hours support. Ds has asd.
•ds wasn't coping but they refused to acknowledge need or support and bullied me
•failed to deal with ds being bullied
•ds had a knife pulled on him in class and despite school calling me to tell me then denied it when ds has a complete breakdown and refused to attend anymore.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time fighting a stupid system but ds did transfer to another school via a managed move. They extended trial due to his needs but finally accepted him in December.
Also had EHCP application (2nd one as juniors applied also) and I took this to tribunal. Even judge couldn't work out why la said school ds hadn't attended for 5 months could meet his needs and said he could cope in Ms when MM placement hadn't offered a place ..... yep! ...... because he couldn't cope.
Well I won tribunal, la assessed and have now issued an EHCP for Ms with 20 hours support.
I've met ds senco and they have said they'll support ds staying there despite it not being catchment school. They actually ask me what I think ds needs, listen when I say what I've tried that doesn't work so don't waste time trying it again which affects ds. Senco was also talking about how well gather evidence for review next year as ds transitions to gcse timetable. (Currently yr 8 so that is scary!)
Ds is also getting his CBT through Camhs now as well.
And the BIGGEST news. Ds is part of the tech team (theatre technician) and last week stayed behind after school and went into the village with the other tech team members for pizza before a show 
ds was born velcroed to me and has NEVER had the confidence to go somewhere that I'm not at the end of.
It's absolutely amazing what difference a whole school ethos can make: by embracing ds autism and the things that makes him brilliant at they've given him a confidence so he's willing to engage more in the things he fines so incredibly difficult.
So once again thankyou for all that have been by my side and held my hand and told me it will work out - I can now finally believe you all
