Wondering if any parents are entering their girls into the WGS senior entrance exam in January? I know the setup is slightly different this year in that there is an extra class of year 6 juniors at WGS meaning that there are possibly fewer places for external candidates.

I wonder whether that will make a difference to girls applying externally?

Also, I'm interested to hear about interviews. If you get an interview, does it mean you are through providing you don't crumble, or are they just selecting the very best from a large group of interviewees?

Hi yes she did but she was really unwell during the exams and now I think we should have deferred but I got the impression it would be frowned upon.

I shall let you know if her life is about to go down the toilet or not ( only -partly - joking!)

Do you know what? We didn't get my daughter into our first choice Primary school. I remember feeling like I had been excluded from a group and it was really difficult. I was so upset. I can't make you feel any better, but I do understand. There will be other opportunities, your daughter will do very well wherever she goes.

She said that the exam was ok - she didn't even think it was that hard, anyway enough I shall move on! but thanks for your kind words.
