Alleyns, Jags, Streatham and Clapham, Latymer, City. Opinions on best for a small quirky girl

We've seen all the above schools and they are all obviously great and children are very lucky to go to them - BUT - my daughter is August born and small for her age, does well at her prep school but she's not great under pressure and not confident outside her comfort zone. She has her heart set on Jags but I fear that she'll sink like a stone there. The girls we met at Open day are very confident in themselves, which is great, but if our daughter isn't like that should we even consider Jags for her?

If she has her heart set on JAGS, then she might be right.

JAGS with SCHS as back up is quite a popular combination.

How do you think she fits with the other options? And, if she'd at a prep, what is her school suggesting?

I was a small (I'm 5'2 now!) quirky (nerdy), glasses wearing, spotty, August born girl and I went to Alleyns (97-04). I had a great time, was never bullied, not once, I didn't have loads of friends but a good group (about 5) I am still friends with now.
JAGS always seemed a bit more cut throat. But my opinions are based on experiences over 15 years ago but the similarities seemed too close to not post!

It's not the size of the dog that matters in the fight,; it's the size of the fight in the dog. I am 5'1", and no one would call me retiring. It's best to find ways for your daughter to learn to assert herself now. As for which schools would suit your daughter, consult with the school head and avoid long journeys.
