Grammar school non-qualification appeal

DS got his results yesterday, and missed out by two marks. If he had done better in NVR, he would have been fine.

However for one section of the NVR questions, two answers were required for each part. He put both answers on the same box, until he got to the end, and realised he should have used consecutive boxes. He tried to fix it, but ran out of time.

Is this grounds for appeal?

Thank you, tiggytape, that's really helpful. I hoped you or one of the other knowledgeable people would be about.

No problem, Coolas, I'll report back if we do appeal.

Yes I would appeal on those grounds, Are you allowed access to his script?

Tanaqui · 24/10/2014 17:11

Ask for a remark now- if they can see what happened they may be able to correct it now. This has happened when children have pressed too lightly in our area anyway.

Hakluyt · 25/10/2014 09:42

Yes, you can appeal. And filling in the form incorrectly is strong grounds- certainly in Kent they will look again at the papers to make sure a mistake hasn't been made.

TeaAndALemonTart · 25/10/2014 09:46

In Bucks that would be grounds for an appeal too. Tbh, I know children who appealed last year who got 119 and got in anyway so you may be lucky regardless of the remark.
