Do you ever wonder which school your school head sent his/her children?

Recently, I got in an in-depth conversation with my DS's head of school ...and he mentioned where his children went to school. I always assumed that the head's children would go to some of the most academic schools ! I would love to know where your school heads tend to send their children?

No idea if the heads of my DC's secondary schools even had children let alone where they went to school.

A HT from an educating programme on tv, appeared in my dd's gcse drama class doing the school tour with his son. Not sure where he lives but we are in the next county.

Our headmaster sends his kids to their local comprehensive.

Head sends hers to local indie. Out of catchment and didn't get space in her comprehensive school.

Last 2 year's GCSE results have been better than at the indie!

NigellasDealer · 17/02/2014 19:54

so if an independent school is an 'indie' is the comprehensive a 'compie'?

TalkinPeace · 17/02/2014 19:56

no, its a comp

JohnnyBarthes · 17/02/2014 22:06

'Indie' is a term people use for private schools, either because it sounds less establishment than 'private' or because they're not sure how to spell independent.

I only get the spelling right because I have autocorrect, btw Grin

Local secondary head sent his kids to the catchment primary, and then got himself another headship in time for his DC to progress to the local secondary rather than have to have their own Dad as headteacher. Which I thought was very considerate of him and also showed a lot of faith in our local school and the state he had left it in. But then he's actually a very nice man!

Wherever has got the best reciprocal fees deal !

RudyMentary....wow...HT as a facebook friend AND swigging beers from the bottle with them.....I wish ! In our school it is compulsory not only to dress the part but speak the part too...gets incredibly boring I must add ! Biscuitsneeded.....own dad as headteacher....ummmm....great HT to not let his kids go through that !

No - I've never wondered as Im not interested in their private lives, I'm only interested in their impact on the school my dc attend.
