Boys' shoes beyond size 7?

My DS is actually still at primary school but is already in a size 7 shoe, so I'm hoping to pick the brains of those of you with slightly older children. We've always bought Clarks shoes, or occasionally Geox, but I'm being told by our usual retailers that they only sell childrens' school shoes beyond size 7, not casual shoes. So where do we go from here? Is our only option to buy adult shoes, which include VAT?

Yes, feet seem to grow first and stop first. DS has been in size 10.5-ish since he was about 12, when he was about 5'6 or so; he's now 15 and I thought he had stopped growing a few months ago, but checked the other day and he has crept up another half inch to 6'.

DD is 11, 5'4" and in size 7 already - I'm hoping her feet stop soon, as unlike her brother, she is interested in fashion and isn't happy with just one pair of non-school shoes at a time...

Phew about the feet (fingers crossed that they are nearly there!) but I'm a bit worried about the shoulder width - if he gets much more hench, he won't fit through the doorwaysGrin

gymboy alas the lad I teach it a bit older, and I would hope his feet have stopped growing!

But size 14 at 13yo! What have you been feeding him?! (Seriously, DS is distinctly petit!)

I recommend Clarks adult men's shoes. There is a sale at the moment and black school-type shoes from the adult section are cheaper than full-price children's school shoes - around £30-35.
