Year 7 starting NC levels in non-core subjects

My DD1 has recently started year 7 and I was wondering what the average levels are at the start of the year for subjects such as history, geography, RS, art, ICT, good tech etc? Obviously I know that a 4B is the expected level for maths and English, but have no idea with regard to these other subjects? Thanks.

A sfar as I can gather, 3s would not be unusual, even lower for MFL.
But a quick climb to be a bit below maths/english, as they learn the levelling criteria for the other subjects.

Also expect a dip in English and Maths in the first term, especially if your school goes OTT for y6 SATs.

Thanks - yes she has 3s in food tech and art so far , so this is ok.

At the start of year 7 DD was 5c geog, r.e and art, 6c history, 4c Ict, 3b languages but made quick progress and finished year 7 on 4a Spanish, 5c French. Comprehensive school.

And iirc 4a art? Not 100% sure on that one...

No hang on, 5c art, just found stuff

I think Iamnot 's child is above average (starting on 6c for history).
(Though of course, maybe not above average for mumsnet Wink )

My lovely DD is however properly average-ish, slightly above half way in her comp.

Yes she is particularly good at history, obviously, with a level like that, but it's her 'thing' , however her maths, p.e and music are decidedly average! It's swings and roundabouts, no-one is great at everything.
