Invites for tea

Is it ok to let DD go for tea with a new friend tomorrow, when I don't know where they live and have never met her mum?! I persuaded DD to get the mum to text me so at least I know they know she's coming! I've never had this with DS 1 cos he doesn't do socialising

Yes, get the Mum to text you, and get the address. I found it really odd at first, but DS1 is in Year 10 now and I am used to it. Smile

I would be glad that DD had made a new friend (guessing your DD is Year 7), but I have to say I would be a bit nervous too! If mum has texted you, I am sure DD will be fine. Hope she has a good time.

Ooh yes Leeds It's great when they do get invitations.

I am so made up for her! She has reinvented herself at big school and has made lts of friends. It's just so alien, DS 1 who is year 9 took almost 2 years to get an invite back.
Mum has texted, all is good, she is upstairs picking an outfit to take with her Grin

Meant to say, thank goodness for texting. I would have struggled to ring a complete stranger!!

DS1 is only just getting to grips with this sociable stuff 3. DS2 is 11 and is never in. Grin

Don't forget the invites back. Smile
