Grade boundaries on modular GCSEs - question

I appreciate that this is the last year that this will be relevant, dues to modules in separate sittings going.

But if examined modules from year 10 have been given a (small letter) grade, would the same boundaries be used for the remaining module in year 11?
And for the grade overall in that subject?

Particularly interested in OCR separate sciences, 2012 spec.

Basically No, different grade boundaries can and nearly always are applied in terms of raw mark conversion for all the science module exams. UMS scores needed for each grade remains constant (ie 90/100 UMS =A*), but the number of raw marks needed to gain any particular UMS score varies.

No, each exam has its own grade boundary as they vary in difficulty.

As the results for modules already taken have been given as UMS scores, I presume that means those cannot change?

That is right, those are definite, and get carried forward to the final grade. Only ones not fixed will be where he/she has done a coursework module and school have said eg 39 marks, should be an A on that, as the coursework UMS boundaries will not be known for certain until August.
