A friend's daughters went to Oakham and acheived goood results.

See also St Edward's Oxford. Their IB programme has been good this year I hear. They have a fair proportion of international students.

Don't know about Haileybury but can thoroughly recommend Oakham from recent experience

I went to Oakham and am regularly back there. It is a fantastic school and really focuses on developing well rounded individuals. There latest IB results were very good.

Happy to answer any questions. Was there quite a few years ago but am still in touch with a lot of staff.

Haileybury is a very good school with a good reputation. Is does well by all sorts of children and not just the "cream". I know a couple of children there and they sing its praises and are very happy there. The pastoral care seems good going by what their parents have told me.

They have both day and boarding with a heavier slant on boarding. The grounds are beautiful and its a nice town, very good facilities too. I dont know oakham but hear good things about it as well, unfortunately i cannot give you a comparison of them, is location important ?

Oak ham is a lovely school - about half boarding and half day, and half girls half boys, it has a rounded profile and IRS well in both A level and IB. Families I know are very happy with it. Although it's reutation is sorry, it offers far more than that, and is strong in drama. I don't really know about dance there, but is good for all-rounders.

I don't know Haileybury at all. I have heard good things about St Edwards - which is again good for all rounders and creeping up academically.
