Should I expect school reports to have been proof read?

Or expect teachers, if they are copy and pasting sentences to change the gender to make it appropriate to the child, and to ensure they are using the correct name?

I know teachers have a lot of reports to write in secondary school, but it seems a bit sloppy to me.

I don't know if it is the only proofreading Good - but it is what they do and as endo says it does give them chance to correct things like that (and the teachers name in one case!)

Secondary school wise DS gets given his to proof read then they are taken in and signed!

We proof read at our school, but sometimes mistakes still slip through the net even when you've proof read. Problem is we have to proof read at the time of the year/term when we are knackered!

I have had an apology from DSs tutor. The report is being re-written.

When dd was in year 5 at primary school she had a mismatched report. First part was great. Going towards the bottom it said a boys name (who was in her class though!) and a not so good report. It was printed but at the end it is hand written with a little write up by the head. She had wrote about the boy and not dd. So she hadn't looked at it properly. I took it back in and had to have a new one done. Saw the boys mum and she said his was fine so i don't know how it happened and neither did the school.
