Does anyone know when the second round of allocations go out? I've rung Croydon Council umpteen bleeding times, talking to someone different every time, and been told early April, mid April, end of April and the most recent conversation the lady said ...... not at all Hmm. There has got to be a second round surely for all the people that turned down their first places.

Hang in there, I was told there is loads of movement in the next couple of months - some people don't decline their places until July even though they have no intention of sending their kids to the school. Very sefish when there are long waiting lists with kids/parents in limbo.

Yes, it is Woodcote - how did you know that!

Sandy - I saw on another thread that you were in a dilemma between two schools and that you lived in Coulsdon. I thought the schools must be oasis and woodcote. I know Woodcote has such a small catchment area - i put it as one of my choices but knew it was very unlikely to get it - we are 2 miles from there and i think last year they went to 1.3. Last year, my friends DS was at woodcote primary and didn't get woodcote high - got de stafford. She tried everything, i.e. appealed to both the la and the headteacher but got nowhere. But, last i heard she is happy but it just seems mad that woodcote does not have feeder schools.

Schools - i agree with Sandy - keep hanging in there - everytime there is movement somewhere, it affects somewhere else. I think it makes you feel so out of control not being able to say to your DCs - don't worry - i will sort it.
