they get a writer person
anuerism or something Wink

TheMonster · 25/01/2012 18:52

Is it her writing hand? Which finger?

TheMonster · 25/01/2012 18:53

amenuensis, fregley

trixie123 · 25/01/2012 18:59

the amenuensis sits next to the candidate in an office or somewhere and simply writes what the candidate says. I assume the exams officer then has to fill in some kind of form to send to the exam board. Its bloody agony doing it and knowing you are writing stuff that's wrong!

seeker · 25/01/2012 19:03

Yes, it't the index finger of her right hand. We're just practising h dictating answers. It's hard- particularly with the calculations!

You will need a dr's note too - make sure you speak to the exams officer before the exam so they can contact the board.

We've got a letter from the hospital- we dropped it into school on the way home. She has always hqd perfect timing!

dh broke his thumb two weeks ago (well, A&E said it was broken, Consultant at the Children's hosp decided it was tendons, but either way) for his written exam (history, he was doing), he had a lap top provided by the school, and for the Science one where you had to write on the paper, he had a "lady come and write down whatever I told her to".
He loved it tbh, and was wondering if he can eek it out (or do it again?) before the main exams in June Hmm

Fregley · 25/01/2012 19:34

i KNOW THAT IT WAS A JOKE
