If it's his coursework he can re do it. If it's his nitrate can borrow the teachers/or a friends. His mocks are just exams and pretend ones at that, so not really much to stress about Wink

His nitrate? That was supposed to be "his class notes"

hellhasnofury · 28/12/2011 17:02

Lost it as in physically lost the folder containing it or deleted it on the pc?

upatdawn · 28/12/2011 17:06

Lost as in physically left it in the corridore over night (!) and it got thrown out by one of the cleaners Shock
And he only chose to tell me tonight!
Oh and it's not coursework but all class notes and practice questions etc.

Is there any chance the cleaners looked at it, saw what it was and handed it in somewhere?

upatdawn · 28/12/2011 17:10

No, it was the end of term and there were signs around school saying anything left lying around was going to be thrown away. He went to ask if it had been found and the basically just said it was his fault for leaving it lying around (which it was) and that it had gone in the bin along with everyone elses. I think it's fair to do this with a year seven's work to teach them a lesson but this was two years worth of work, you would've thought they would cut him some slack!

Does he have a friend nearby who let him photocopy the class notes and practice questions ?

marriedandwreathedinholly · 29/12/2011 13:27

It was a long long time ago but I lost my history notebooks during the summer term about six weeks before the exams. (not the days when course work counted).

I was allowed to borrow my clever friend's over a weekend and had to copy out everything laboriusly. It helped with my revision and I think that's why I got an A. It may prove to be a silver lining.

MrsCobbit · 29/12/2011 13:30

Does his school have an MLE?? The information could be on that. The Revision Guides aren't too bad either, or like others say couldn't he photocopy a friends folder?

Kez100 · 29/12/2011 17:33

Is it assessable coursework? I only ask because my daughter is in year 11
And all her 'coursework' is by controlled assessment and nothing comes home - not the workings/planning or anything) The only thing she brings home is Class notes, which are important for exams for revision, but not as essential as coursework.
