My daughter currently goes to a sate school where she encounters bullying . As a result I have moved so she could apply to another school. She wants to go to private school, which I am willing to pay for but want to know if the following schools will take her.

We've looked at: queens gate
More house
Godolphin and latymer
St james

Just to say good luck to your daughter. My dyslexic DD1 just somehow never fits in to her peer group. When ever anyone is bored they have a dig at her about something. Fortunately the school do their best and she is used to it.
Ridiculously Sad that she has to be.
I wouldn't hesitate to move her if she was Hurt emotionally or physically, but in truth she, like me and DH is never going to be good at friends and DD2 can't teach us. She just does people and makes friends without effortEnvy

My daughter attends Queens Gate. I am not sure if at this late stage they will accept a transfer, but what I can say is, that is it is worth making an appointment with the Principal at the senior school to discuss. This is a school that has very good academics but more than anything has a very supportive and caring environment. I think they will give you an honest opinion. The one thing that can be an issue, although it is positive in the long run, is that the senior school is trying very hard to pull itself on the top ranks in the lead tables and so, they might only want to take students who they fill will perform very well. Queens Gate had a reputation/perception of a posh and less academic school - which the school is trying very hard to change. I believe because many of the girls come from the junior school this gives them a bit more certainty of the type of students they are taking on. However, I think a bright girl who is very keen, has a good record at her previous schools and is enthusiastic will not be just turned down. It is worth you having the discussion and looking around to see if it is a school that suits your daughter.

I am not sure if the comment is helpful... my daughter is very happy there and I am thrilled with the education she receives there, so I would recommend this school without hesitation.

Just wanted to say that I moved schools in April of year 10. In my new school I was automatically predicted D's and E's. I worked really really hard and managed to get mostly A's and B's and a couple of C's .

As long as she's prepared to re do a lot of work she's already done and work very very hard it is doable.
