Any advice please on private day schools in the Berkshire area? I am willing to move nearer the school. My ds has just taken the exam for Reading school but I am not sure he'll get in, highly competitive this year:(

My son, now 3rd year uni reading economics, went to Leighton Park. I can't recommend it highly enough. They have a rounded approach to education and child development that is refreshing. I would suggest a visit.

My dd was at Leighton Park and achieved way way more than we could ever have imagined...top top A level results, now at top uni, plus took part in loads of stuff, community work in India. Son still there and also v happy and thriving academically, really good pastoral support. It definitely isn't hippies on the hill!

Thank you so much for the replies, really appreciate it.

Are you DCs into arts, sciences,...? Because I hear different things all the time. Some they say that it is mainly for the arty type. On wiki it's mentioned that the famous singer who was there lately was not happy!!!

I am not sure really, it is all hear say so far. I don't know anyone who goes there.
