admissions - why does the sibling rule not apply if the sibling in in sixth form

Presumably the six-former is judged to be old enough to find their own way there?

I think it's because 6th form isnt compulsory?

because they are not at school?

it's ok for lower sixth not upper. just seemed a bit weird to cut off after one year

If it's on an application form you're doing now, the reason will be because only siblings who are in the school in the following September, so year 13 don't count as they will have left. Nor do year 6 for primary school applications.
