This is kind of fun: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7773974.stm

It's been 22 years for me and I've not been tutored for this test this afternoon Wink - I got 13/15. One of those was inexcusable and I'm ashamed of myself, the other I didn't have a danny about!

I got 14/15. I think they're hard because it's difficult in some of the questions to work out exactly what it is that they want you to do.

My son scraped through the 11+ last year, and my daughter has just done hers this year. I couldn't help but feel for her when I was doing these as I know how her brain works and she'll have struggled.

9/15 in just under 6 mins, bit bad!

In the actual 11 plus, you have to answer 17 questions in 10 minutes (85 in 50 minutes for the whole VR section of the test). Some of the questions in the eleven plus are the very long code questions not shown in this link, that take longer to answer than the examples given. So I think taking longer than 5 minutes to answer these questions wouldn't leave you long enough to deal with the codes and other more time consuming questions. And these questions were easier than the ones of the same type in the real 11 plus, particularly the number based questions.

I think my brain is a bit messed up, I can remember one of the question in mine, or it may have been a practise one, and you had to put the word that was opposite to the one listed. One word was sweet, I put ugly! Blush
