If the school had a system of rewards for achievement, but failed to meet these procedures would you investigate further?

Sorry have namechanged as was unsure how to post this without it coming across as boastful.

DS in Y7 has settled in very well in secondary school.

The school offers a very structured reward and discipline system.

One part of this is a commendation system, which seems to have motivated him well.

In Autumn term he earned 34 commendations and was given a certificate in Lower School Assembly.

The Head also sent a letter home to us stating how proud she was of his achievements. (received 3 days into Christmas holidays)

In Spring term he earned 72 commendations and again got a certificate in assembly, but as yet, we have not received a letter from HT.

Do you think I should chase this letter, in case it was lost in the post? Hmm

I am actually questioning my motives slightly as I wonder why I need to have documentary evidence that his achievements have been recorded, as we are proud of him without correspondence from the HT. Why am I looking for some sort of acknowledgement of what I know to be true? Confused

I would probably let it go - well done ds though!

It may be that the HT's letter is something that is done in the first term only, kind of to say well done for settling in so well. So maybe it isn't an oversight, just isn't done in subsequent terms.
