Does anyone have twins doing GCSE's? Do they help or hinder eachother? And how do you divide your time when they are both pestering for help!!

I've got a friend who has triplets sitting them! She fears for results day. She knows they all have their strangths and weaknesses and ought to come out, overall, with similar results but she does fear one might not just due to bad day at the office on exam day (could be any of them) and that will make the whole day very difficult and possibly bitter sweet.

Apparantly, despite their different strengths, they are all choosing quite similar A level subjects, so she'll have to go through it all again in two years time!

Good luck. Although a strange situation, I have a year 8 working at a higher level than my year 10. That's odd and needs careful treatment as well!

I have a twin and I did my GCSEs last year. Although we're both quite able(in my opinion, anyway!) he's more academic than I am. It's helpful sometimes, because if I missed lessons I could easily catch up from his notes, and sometimes he'd help with homework, but a lot of the time it's very disheartening that he's better than me.
In the end, he got 13As, and I got 7s and 6As. I was of course pleased with my results, but I don't feel as happy about them as I should be because I still feel I did rubbish compared to him.
We're doing very similar A-Level subjects now, and it's entirely likely we'll end up doing the same thing at university, which is an AWFUL prospect in my opinion. It's not surprising that we're good at similar things because we've had the same formulative experiences etc etc, but it's still very annoying.

I feel it's probably easier, even if they're not equal abilities, if they're both sort of average. In my case, my brother is not only better than me, but WAY better. He got the highest GCSE results in the school and probably the county. It's very difficult to deal with.

As for dividing up time, I dunno. I never expected either of my parents to help me. They probably wouldn't be able to either. :P
