Average grades of a 14 year old?

Is anyone willing the share with me what level their year 9 DC's are at?

My DD is mostly on level 5s with a level 6 in drama. I thought this was ok until my 11 year old nephew excitedly showed me HIS current grades in year 7 which were all level 5s. He's expected level 6a and one level 7 by the time he's in year 9.

So is he the exception or is that normal? if so, my DD is actually quite far behind

Yes they do Herbie & she always seems to do well (or above average at least). Is in top sets for the subjects they set in but they don't set for everything...

We have a parents evening soon & I think I need to ask a lot more questions & not be fobbed off with platitudes about how lovely she is!

Am also planning to get some KS3 revision guides so I can work out what she is supposed to know.
