Which board for A level biology?

I am about to start A level biology as I need it to apply for a degree course next year. I'm not quite sure which board to do - I think the choices are AQA, OCR or Edexel. Does anyone have any experience of these? The tutor says she likes AQA (there is a practical exam but this isn't a problem as I've done a lot of science before) but it's really my choice.

I really want the one that's the most straightforward and most likely to allow me to achieve a high grade (I will probably need at least a B). Thanks.

Are you doing the exam privately? If so is it going to be difficult to arrange lab access for practical work/exam?

The tutor has tutored many private students and she said it's not a problem - she arranges a centre or school for them.

AQA doesn't have a practical exam, as such - it's an ISA (or EMPA) - both of which are assessed practicals done under supervision. Your tutor would need to have a friendly school, because it requires more than one session to complete, and in the case of the ISA is marked by the teacher - who has to have completed an AQA course in how to do this.

The ISAs are quite specific in their requirements - you really need to do one as a trial run first to see how it works.
