Name tags for clothing etc

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the "on the tip on my tongue" company who you get these woven name tags from.

I don't think I should use the left over from primary ones with fancy script and a fairy LOL

I want to do sewn in tags and write in with marker - bloody uniform has cost me £150 so far.

Iron on ones.... they've always been crap - are there any that are actually any good?

I've also really struggled with iron-on - they always come off in the end. Has anyone tried the Stick-Easy labels at easy2name.com? They seem good, but are they really tumble dry proof?

I've just spent the last 2 days sewing in nametags. I also had to order new ones due to having a teddy, a fairy and a smiley face respectively on my 3 DD's primary uniform.

We tried iron-on but seriously could not get them to either stay on. I was also worried about torching the house in the tumbler for those moments at 8.15 when I had 2 dry sweatshirts and 1 wet!

I got mine off ebay in the end, 72 for £2.98 inc p & p!!

MADNESS!! how can they make them so cheap? Still had 4 choices of text and colour.

can you snip the fairy off, or wil the tag unravel? I asked about name tags some months ago and a rude person replied 'just write the name on the label'. Er, no, uniform is expensive and needs to be clearly marked. A label can be cut off.

I did both :D Sewed in labels AND written with permanent marker - they apparently lose stuff alllllllllll the time

you can also buy taggits from Nametag-it.co.uk but they call them easyfix clip on labels. They're just as good and much cheaper

Try iron on labels from iron-on-labels.co.uk. theirs stay on really well as long as you get the heat on the iron right. I had some from there years ago and they're still on our towels and they stayed on my kids uniform until they'd grown out of them

I don't know why I bother naming DS's stuff however, he always comes home with some other guys kit/uniform etc. He's lost 9 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of boxers (why would someone pinch them!) 2 shirts, a hoody, trackie bottoms, all his tennis socks, cricket trousers, and a vvvvv expensive V neck jumper. He never loses his ties though!

I reckon there's a good business opportunity for someone to set up a name tag sewing in service - or maybe satellite tracking for the expensive stuff!!!

Doesn't matter which name tags are used Cash's are good ones but please USE THEM - work in a school and the lost property box is over flowing again. I mean one shoe!! Do these parents not realise that their little darling is hopping out of school due to the lack of footwear or what??

Drayford - I thought my kids were bad - have you thought of gluing his uniform to him!! I feel for you!! Mind you agree though - who wants boxers??!!
