I suspect that’s quite a selective list, and also that most people aren’t getting the top whack of 10k a year.
I don’t disagree that people with anxiety and autism who nonetheless can hold down a job and cope with life probably don’t need disability benefits.
On the other hand, we generally wouldn’t say that a visually impaired person who finds public transport difficult, or a young person who gets extra time or a scribe in exams due to dyslexia, were hopeless cases who couldn’t go on to be an MSP. Sometimes people do just need a bit of support to level the playing field.
