Did anyone else see the match tonight?
What a rollercoaster of a match ending in ecstasy as Scotland will be going to USA next summer! First time since 1998!
Happy days

Still feels surreal!
So glad it worked out in the end.
Did the ref ever blow the final whistle??

I didn’t hear it! My kid said it was finished when they started talking over the tannoy. What a night, so glad I watched it.

Hopefully they will be based in Canada or Mexico so we can go.

I do feel a a bit sorry for Kasper Schmeichel as he had thought the game was over and came out of goal. And then you could see his brain going fcccck fcccck fcccck as the ball sailed over him. Back of the net.

PS Leicester supporter here. The lad did good when we were promoted to the Premiership.

It wasn't that he thought the game was over. Denmark needed to score - he was up the park to try and help that. All bodies were needed. He was way off his line in the hope that a chance would be created.

can't fault him for that - was the correct tactic - but I'm glad he was out of position. We were at the corner flag and had a great view of it. Felt in slow motion though 😂

My (English) family were absolutely gripped by that match. When the first goal (which was brilliant) went in I honestly thought they'd scored too early and wouldn't be able to hang on. But that second half was amazing. We were on our feet at the end shouting at the screen. Three of the goals were absolutely superb. Well done Scotland. I was living in Scotland in 1998 when they last played in the world cup so I know the atmosphere will be tremendous.

It’s not over till it’s over! At least that wasn’t the deciding goal. That would have been worse for him.

“They think it’s all over. It is now!”

Ah. I see. He’s a fast runner though. Gotta give him credit for that.

I'm English not Scottish but couldn't be happier for Scotland they thoroughly deserved it, I was particularly rooting for them when one of the Danish players tried to waste time pretending to to have cramp when it was 2-2 in injury time, even the commentators mentioned it...

A fantastic result no doubt but countries should really be boycotting the United States right now until Trump is removed from office, so hopefully there will be an announcement on that soon? 🤞

🙄

Scotland will be going to USA next summer!

And Canada! Channeling Scottish/Canadian DH here.

I only started watching from when it was two all and had the same feeling of despair that I’ve had for way too long and honestly sat in disbelief when the fourth goal went in as I was still waiting for a last minute defeat.

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread.
Still hard to believe what happened last night and the national joy. Some light in dark times.
Will be back 5 December when we find out where we will be playing and who we will be up against!

I've been watching it on TV and on my phone in between working today!
Just incredible how Scotland played, the fans etc. We have the best support.
That was never a penalty for Denmark, the ref was taking forever to blow the whistle but it was worth the agony!

FurbieGurbie · 22/11/2025 18:01

I love the fact that the Scotland fans celebrated so much that they caused a minor earthquake.

osloslow · 06/12/2025 22:55

currently looking for accommodation in Boston, and it’s really expensive
