Moving from Brighton to Fort William

Hey, me and my family ( partner and two children aged 7 and 2) is thinking of moving from Brighton to Fort William.
Has anyone else done it?
Any recommendations for good primary schools?

Lochaber High School used to have a terrible reputation, not sure what it's like now.

Somewhere around Inverness might be a better fit - Nairn?

In 23/24 it was placed 314 out of 340 or so on the league table based on exam results. Other league table may place it differently but I doubt dramatically so.

I live in the Highlands and love the general area but I'd find living in Fort William itself really grim.

If you like the Cairngorms, how about looking in and around Inverness? It's a much nicer little city.
