Help me find the family from Carrot(?) Farm

Around 1997 DH and I went on a cycling holiday with Headwater Holidays in the Lot valley and the Cahore area
We were a young couple and met the most wonderful family.
There was a Mum, Dad and four children ( 2 boys and 2 girls). We think the children would have been around 9, 7, 4 and 2. DH has Fife in his mind as a location - I'm not sure.
One of the boys was called Jamie, the second youngest child was a girl - an absolute force of nature called Abbie. She had dark brown hair and very dark brown eyes. The other daughter had strawberry blonde hair and was a super sweet kind girl. The Mum ( blonde short hair as I recall) and Dad were lovely - really calm, amazing parents and they marshalled all 4 every day on some challenging bike rides ( carrying the two youngest on their bikes!). At the time we were in awe of them.
When we became parents we were so so so in awe of them!
We kept in contact for a bit but then we moved and misplaced their address.
However we never forgot them.
So does anyone know these people? I would love to know how are the children are and tell them we have thought of them often.
Scotnet can you help me?

I'm glad this has had a happy ending but really, people shouldn't have helped track them down as we have no idea if the OP is genuine. There's all sorts of not-very-nice reasons that someone might be trying to track down people like this.

Aww that's great new OP.
Not sure what kind of "not very nice reasons" there could be from the original post and the descriptions she used it was pretty obvious it was genuine.

Thanks @TijuanaLady123 it is 100% genuine and I so appreciate everyone's help.
About to exchange some photos.

Just thought I would update the thread for those who helped.
It turns out that these super parents and lovely children have continued to be so and the four children all have great lives and careers. I think the Mum was a bit surprised how much they/their children stuck with us but as they always say 'it takes a village to raise a child' and you do learn from those you encounter so Thank you @babbi @beetr00 @Brody77 @GeniuneWorkOfFart @Judystilldreamsofhorses @Purplecatshopaholic @RentalWoesNotFun @Wannaberunners

Oh it’s great to get an update @PiggyPokkyFool, good for you and I agree we take things (ideas/inspiration maybe big maybe small things) from people who may not even realise as it can be just a fleeting encounter and it’s a lovely thing to be able to tell someone this ❤

RentalWoesNotFun · 16/08/2025 22:20

Thanks for the update. Glad all good. Nice to have a happy story on here!

Such a wonderful update, so pleased you've re-connected @PiggyPokkyFool.

All the very best for the future.🌻
