... is making him go more slowly with criticism of the UK (unlike the EU) - also that Scotland depends on the US to buy our whisky and a tariff would be very difficult for the industry here (I presume) if he put tariffs on .
Knowing how feisty the Scots are riling them with nasty threats or tariffs could back fire with regards to his investments here.

He has a love of Scotland because of his mother, however I don’t believe he would hesitate to shaft us if we pissed him off.

I would imagine financially his investments in Scotland are small beer in comparison to the rest of his portfolio, present and future, so don't think they'd be a serious consideration in his plans

But the guy is so unpredictable who knows what he'll do.

Trumps 'love' of Scotland is skin deep. When he visited his mother's old house in the Hebrides he spent about two minutes there. He treated the local residents of the NE golf course shamefully, harrassing people who didn't want to sell their house to him. All the promises to houses and jobs in the area were so much hot air, and he has ruined a site of SSI.
we’ve already been through a period of whisky tariffs, so of course he would do it again. He has no principles at all and would skin a louse to sell it's skin. He's a vile human being, and the 'special relationship' is a fantasy.

Janey Godley had the right reading of him
