Asylum seeker hotels - any drama in your area?

Curious to see if there is any unrest/drams around hotels being used for holding asylum seekers in other towns/cities in Scotland. There is a hotel in Falkirk which has had a lot of publicity about sexual assaults and other issues with the residents behaviour, there have been weekly protests outside it and feelings are running high. Is this the same for other areas? Or is it especially bad in Falkirk?

I know the hotel you are talking about and the rumours of sexual assaults. No idea if they are true but certainly whipping up a frenzy with the local bigots. Some of the descriptions of attacks have been horrific. Truth or scaremongering?

Either way it's a very sad state of affairs for everyone. Nobody should be living permanently in a hotel.

The town centre is absolutely dire at the moment. With all the additional people hanging around all day with nothing to do, mostly young men. It is quite intimidating, even if they are doing nothing wrong. They're traumatized people from a different culture, there's going to be issues.

Oh, don't be reasonable and empathetic. People would much rather believe that they come here for benefits and to sexually assault women.
Or to try and live a better life and make money (which is apparently a despicable thing to do).

Of course people understand why others would do pretty much whatever it takes to have a better life.
But it's unfair dismissing concerns of the existing population when their town centres change, there are large groups of men hanging around and instances of harrassment. Being told they're falling for propaganda when they can see with their own eyes is gaslighting. And dismissing concers as "far right" is very unfair.

We had one locally being used. There was a lot of nonsense and scaremongering by some members of the local community about it and racists and counter protestors outside it every week. Some members of the local community made threatening social media posts and at least one man was charged (I know this as we and others reported him to the police).

there were no reports of any trouble being caused in the area by the asylum seekers.
