We were very lucky and managed to get tickets last week and I thought that was the biggest problem sorted.
We are about 3 hours north of Edinburgh and I had planned to park at Ingliston and then take the tram in, however I’ve now read it fills up very early and we can’t really leave before 1pm (because of work).
I looked at trains but later ones seem to only come as far as Dundee, does anyone have any ideas of the best way to do this?
I also don’t know Edinburgh very well, all ideas appreciated!

Were you planning on overnighting somewhere or travelling back afterwards OP?

I guess the easiest would be parking somewhere with access to the late trains going back, so Dundee, Perth, Dunblane etc.

Definitely not overnight, the prices😩
Yes, now looking at driving to Dundee and hoping we can get a train back to there!
Thankyou!

Perth might be the easiest one to park near, and then get trains back to later that night?
I guess it depends where you are coming from though.

Have you looked at Happy Bus? We have just booked a return only to Glasgow. Some reviews are iffy but reckon the trains will be hellish.

Park at Inverkeithing and take train from there

Thankyou for all your ideas, I have managed to book a space at the Royal Highland Centre and we can get a bus from there.
