Hello

we will be in Glasgow for two days with 13 yr old DS at the end of this week.

would love some recommendations of things to do with him that might appeal. Rain looks likely!

The science centre is great!

Nothinglefttosaynow · 19/05/2024 16:55

Will you be in the city centre? What kind of things is he into? Science centre is fab, there's Kelvingrove Museum, Level X in the St Enoch centre which is arcade/mini golf/bowling, cinemas dotted all around. If you can let us kmow what he enjoys I'm sure we can come up with some good things for him.

not bother 😂

Science centre £
Kelvingrove Museum (my favourite) & (My 12yr old loves) GoMA both free

dementedpixie · 19/05/2024 17:11

Visit the cat cafe? If you're into that sort of thing. You do need to book in advance

DoreenonTill8 · 19/05/2024 17:11

Science Centre and Kelvingrove! What's he into?

DoreenonTill8 · 19/05/2024 17:13

Or flip out?

thedevilinablackdress · 19/05/2024 17:21

Transport museum

Puffalicious · 19/05/2024 17:26

All of the above; plus:

Have a really good wander round Byres Road/ Great Western Road - lots of lovely cafes/ eateries/ shops & there's Botanic Gardens at one end & Kelvingrove Park at the other, where you can explore Finnieston. For food, favourites for that age group are Eusebi's deli / Gyros van on Kelvin way (beside Art Gallery) or Civverino's just nearby - massive slices of pizza.

Also Transport Museum in West End.

Consider an underground day pass & jump.on & off. They have suggested routes with attractions online/ at stations.

The mural walk also fabulous- details online, you download the app & off you walk.

Flip Out definitely if you have access to a car to drop you.

I think the best of Glasgpe is found just wandering.

I think the best of Glasgow is found just wandering.

Yes & remember to look up! Lots of beautiful buildings that had their ground floor made into shops & you might not realise what you're walking past until you look upward.

I like the idea of the science centre, mural walk, Kelvingrove - cat cafe sounded fun until I checked the prices!

he will do museums etc and he knows he has to show willing!
