Has anyone's DC done a Higher or Adv H at a consortium school, ie another school in their Local Authority? How did they find it? DD wasn't happy with the options choices at her own school and has opted for Adv H at other schools.
Apparently taxis are provided - do they share taxis and are the taxis always on time etc and are they ever left to make their own way there and back?
How have your DC managed with a bunch of other pupils they don't know / a different school etc?
How does it work with parents evenings and reports?

My daughter did Advanced Higher History like this in 2021
Things was already difficult with Covid , so all teaching was online
She met the teacher twice face to face throughout the school year
The teacher taking the course gave feedback to her head of social subjects for parents night

Mine is doing AH computing science at a consortium school.

He gets a taxi with other kids doing CS and also other subjects. Yes I think there are occasions it has been late or it’s not come. But it’s generally fine.

He often doesn’t go if it’s a single period as opposed to a double as it’s not really worth it. But mine is in s6 with an unconditional offer for his preferred course and Uni so not that much of a big deal.

He has found getting used to the teacher and his style quite difficult but getting into the swing of it finally now. We have had no reporting or parents night but he’s on track for an A so all good.

At our school they are expected to share taxis with other kids going to the same school but not necessarily for the same subject. I am not 100% sure but think that if they are supposed to be there first thing in the morning or last thing in the afternoon, they make their own way there, or home.

If they are planning on going to uni it's good preparation for being in a different setting with new people, in my opinion.

My ds walks to the consortium school for AH maths, takes about 15/20 minutes. On a Tuesday morning I drop him off there as maths is first thing. At first we were told he would have to do the class online but then the schools arranged between them to say he could attend in person.
