I don't know Edinburgh very well but DD and I are going to N2 and staying in Glasgow.

What time would you be aiming to come through? DD wants to be in 'as soon as it opens' at 4.30 Grin

Also looking for any recommendations for lunch that we could book ahead.

It'll be the getting back to glasgow afterwards that will be a pain.
I'd head through early, have an early lunch then head along to Murrayfield.
Gutted that we couldn't get tickets.

My sister saw Beyonce and said it was just a case of waiting. It'll be so worth it.

Hearty food at Makars Mash Bar.

Not sure if you are there earlier. Dishoom breakfasts are Fab! - not sure about being able to book.

Dine Murrayfield

I'd recommend eating in Glasgow. Edinburgh was chaotic for Harry Styles and the restaurant we were in was full of people going to the gig. The restaurant clearly added in extra tables and it wascrazy busy with the poor staff run off their feet.

Hmmm you may be right there, although I don't know if we'd both be stressing about catching the train then. I had hoped we could soak up the atmosphere a bit but I know it will be so, so busy.

They put on extra trains for the HS concert and it was so well organised. I wouldn't worry. There's tonnes of vans selling wildly over priced food so even if you ate and got the train around 3 you could probably pick up something a bit later at Murray field a few hours later.

Eating in Stockbridge might take you out of the crowds a little, can take the Water of Leith path right to Murrayfield afterwards, about 30
minutes walk. At least Taylor has her many eras of looks to inspire her fans outfits - the feathers after Harry Styles were everywhere. Roseburn Park looked like an abandoned hen coup for weeks.

Definitely eat in Glasgow or have a picnic on the train through. Edinburgh will be hoaching. We're going from Glasgow on N3.

I'd recommend Brewhemia for lunch but you'd need to book

Second Makars. We didn't book but they squeezed us in, however it was very busy even just during the week in March so definitely book ahead

We tend to have a big breakfast and a late hot meal lunch so that when we get back to our hotel we have ourselves a wee picnic- crackers, cheese, cold meat etc

I don’t think you can go wrong with Amarone on George Street. Easy to book online. A quick walk from Waverley off the train and then you can walk to Murrayfield after or get the tram from a 2 minute walk, across St Andrews Square and pick it up outside Harvey Nics. There are a few options available on St Andrew Square for food.
