Spreadsheet/Tax calculator for predicting impact of new tax changes?

Does anyone know of an online tax calculator that I could enter our household income into that would work out the precise impact of the SNP’s latest proposed tax hikes?

I use an online take-home salary indicator but obviously that’s not set up yet to factor in the complex bands that are being proposed. There’s lots of people saying they’ll put more into their pension to reduce the amount of tax they’ll pay but I don’t know if we can afford to do that. To be honest I don’t know how we would work it out either.

Although, on paper, we look like we should be comfortably placed, we didn’t buy our 1st house until we were in our 50s and our mortgage term was therefore short. We are currently paying £1100 a month even though it’s just a 2-bedroom terrace.

We’re also in a debt repayment scheme so have to account for every bit of disposable income and put any excess into that. Our household income is £90k and we’ve got 2 kids - 1 at Uni and 1 about to go.

I realise we’re very lucky to be in this position compared to those in Scotland who don’t even have the income to pay tax so am just after some advice to help see where we’ll stand come April 2024.

Not a calculator but I did save this table from somewhere the other day. Can't confirm the validity but you can search for similar on Twitter etc.

Thanks Mollycobb that’s helpful. I think I might have to brush off my Excel skills and create a spreadsheet though. I’m being lazy seeing if there’s already something online to save me doing it!

You might be worth looking into if employers have work has a cycle to work scheme, it comes off before tax and it therefore reduces the amount for tax if your borderline a 2k bike would end up costing about £80 a month. They can also be used for partial commute too so if you cycle to a station etc then this counts.
