I’ve seen a role I’d like to apply for, but they’re talking hybrid Dundee or Glasgow.

I’m north isles so commuting isn’t going to be a realistic option. Given I’m disabled, is there any flexibility do you know?

In addition, I can only work PT - is it even worth me applying?

No, if they want full time, you need to do full time, and if they say Dundee or Glasgow then they mean that. You probably wont get shortlisted if you dont meet those criteria.

Unfortunately you’re right. I sent an email to their recruitment people to ask and yeh - not overly “inclusive” unless you live on the central belt and aren’t disabled. 🤔

If it's Dundee or Glasgow are you sure it's SG? More likely to be Social Security Scotland as that's where their offices are based.

Most positions they will be open to considering PT but it's unlikely you would be able to be fully remote. Check with recruitment before you spend time on the application.

I work for SG but closely linked to Social Security Scotland. They are pretty flexible but not to the extent of living in Orkney (say) and never being in the office in person. People I work with are based all over Scotland but we all know that we might have to go into the office (usually with a bit of notice) for whatever reason.
