Christmas Experiences within an hr of NE Fife

Any recommendations, very ideally something which has a Father Christmas (or will this be all booked up now?). Or even a nice small town to visit, country house that kind of thing??

We're in NE Fife but only moved here recently everything very local seems to be booked up. Looking for something which feels a little special where we can have a nice lunch also, we would be prepared to drive for up to an hr. I've discounted Edinburgh because we need to go on a weekend and I think it will just be too much for 4/5 yr olds.

I've booked Blair Drummond. Not been at Christmas before but it's a nice day out.
Very reasonable rates midweek if you're not tied to school days yet.
Some of the other stuff is done in 15 minutes flat

The Deer park?
Rejects in kirkcaldy has a free Santa at the weekends.
apparently dunfermline has something good in their kingsgate centre.
Dundee winter wonderland is smaller and child friendly
Camperdown park ?

I think the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews is doing a Santa's grotto on some Sundays in December.

@SNWannabe and @ApolloandDaphne Fairmont was booked in minutes of launching and Deer Centre is booked on weekend, waaahhhhh. I do love Rejects but it's with friends who will be abroad somewhere hot for Xmas and whom we won't see for two months so we wanted it to feel a bit special/make a day of it.

Will check BD @Calmdown14 bit more than an hr though isn't. But good fun.

@Krupkrups Craigtoun Park in St Andrews have just started advertising their Santa's grotto!
