Edinburgh private schools with no entrance assessment

Hi. Older two children went to fairly academic private schools, but youngest (12) struggles a bit more with her learning and school in general.
She is at Steiner and doesn't like it. I just want her to be happy and achieving as well as she can Sad
I've heard good things about Clifton Hall (small and nurturing) and Watson's (good support for learning), but both have waiting lists. She'd love to go to Heriot's but it's very academic, and I think we have to be realistic.
She is keen to move. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

I have to say I agree with @realisticparent1 My ds has been at the school for 7 years. He loves school and has even begged to go on days he hasn’t been allowed to go (48 hour rule on sickness). I’ve just asked him about some of the things in the previous post He has never heard of names going in a book or teachers raising their voices.
The only issue we’ve really had is very minor and was dealt with by emailing the class teacher directly.

Clifton Hall has been absolutely excellent for our kids. Extremely small class sizes, the school overall, I think, can only accommodate around 500 children and so the class sizes are never going to be huge.

We have 2 children in the senior school and chose the school over other private schools in Edinburgh due to its child centred
approach, safe, secure location, excellent facilities and great teaching staff.

Our kids get the coach and actually really enjoy it. The kids are supported and nurtured. The other private schools we visited had very large class sizes and felt extremely corporate. I got the impression that if our children turned out not to be academic, they’d be forgotten about. Clifton Hall focus on the Individual child and their needs. It feels very specific to the child. Our oldest passed Nat 5’s with flying colours and is sitting 6 Highers. I feel in Watsons or Heriots they’d have been lost.

In terms of schools that don’t require entry assessments, Loretto in Musselburgh don’t require pupils to sit an entry exam. The entry exams, in this day and age, are extremely antiquated and need reviewed. In my opinion. Good luck!
